I can confirm that the sound at Ben's/Reg's gig the other night was good indeed - very natural on voice and guitar - excellent! Keith

I use just an Edwina for about 80% of my gigs now, always have my preamps etc with me as backup in case the venue has a million mirrors but generally just the Edwina. Love it.

I wonder if anyone has used the Aston Spirit or Origin live as a single mic for guitar/vocals? I did a gig with Benjamin Bassford where he did. I can't find a video of him playing live like that online (he did mention sound engineers usually insist on giving him a vocal mic too), but there are some home studio type ones:

The excellent percussive fingerstyle bluesman Samuel James uses a single large diaphragm condenser - just a cheap Behringer - to pick up both his guitar and vocal for his live sound and it works just fine. Helps that he has a loud resonator guitar and a loud voice of course...
