scorpiodog - Enjoyed that - thanks Paul. I'd assumed it would have been wall to wall Martins, but pleased to see Levin Goliath and Harmony Sovereign looming large in some very famous hands. These were my lusted after guitars at that time, whilst I was playing my Eko Ranger and a borrowed Framus dread. Keith

Keith Whenever I see stuff from that era I am surprised at the variety of guitars being used. I suspect today things would be far more limited.

Given the era I'm surprised there were no Gibsons!

Thanks scorpiodog, fascinating to a novice like me. I'm surprised at how many of them were performing live so early in their careers.

A real trip down memory lane. When I was a youth, a very long time ago, I had the Woodstock Triple LP. I never forgave my brother for scratching one of the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young tracks.
Many of the songs listed in the article take me back to those simpler times, especially Melanie (an early, post-pubescent crush whose voice still moves me), The Band (I remember “The Weight” playing on the coach radio on a school trip), CSN&Y and Jimi Hendrix. The power of music to bring the past alive is one of its great joys, particularly for someone like me who can barely recall what they did yesterday. Nostalgia - as we used to say - rules ok!
