So, here is the C sus 2 video!
The guitar is strung CGCGCD, with the intervals 151512
As this is not as well known I've taken the liberty of trying to illustrate a few styles at the beginning — warning the is a little singing involved!
The chord shapes and runs shown in the second section should be enough to get you making some rather pleasant stuff!

I'll do you the respect of working through your rather excellent lesson properly, but wanted to thank you now for the introduction to this beautiful tuning. You really have an engaging style of teaching. I didn't know anything about this tuning until three days ago, and have spent the last three days experimenting. Your erudite observations about it's compact simplicity are absolutely spot on. I've managed to really surprise myself with some quite beautiful melodies. Thanks again Andy. I may not have many narrated questions, but rest assured I'm following this edumacation closely.

Thanks Northern lad. I only play with simple tunings ... this is probably my favourite!

It's flexible enough to allow ascending and descending basslines, melody and drones to fall fairly easily beneath the digits. Now to watch the video...

Hi Andy,
Just got home from shifting 30 paving slabs for my daughter and saw this brilliant video which for me is just what I need. You show off the basics extremely simply so that even I can follow it. Like others have said I will need to spend some hours picking up the numerous runs and tonal nuances of this but its just what I need to kick start it. I should have some sort of result by the time you eat all that fruit!
Only problem is, when am I going to find the time to play my new 12-er!!! Damn!
Regards
John

Only problem is, when am I going to find the time to play my new 12-er!!! Damn! Tune it to Csus2. It will roar, John. It's taken me 40 years to figure out that they're at their best tuned low. And strangely (for me) I discovered how good12 strings were in low tunings when I was learning to play Chris Wood's Hollow Point , which is played in Csus2. Andy, this is a great introduction to the tuning. It's inspired me to get one of my lesser used guitars into Csus2, and try again.

Within a few minutes of starting to watch your video my guitar was retuned! It also had me pausing the video on several occasions and getting wrapped up in trying some runs and note combinations myself. Plus turning to some old Csus2 compositions to remind myself what they sounded like / what sort of shapes I had found. I would say it's a very good introduction to Csus2 Andy, and you've given viewers enough information to go away and start to explore in a more coherent way. Your closing remarks about the relative simplicity of these tunings and the benefits of letting the open strings ring are spot on. At least they ARE simple tunings WHEN they are taught that way like you do - I've seen examples of the sort of complex theory skewed attempts to teach tunings that make me understand why so many players say they avoid these other tunings because it's all too complicated and they don't understand it.
