Nice and moody, that. I liked it a lot. Decent playing too, although still quite twangy. I like to think I can produce a mellower tone, although this fella appears to be playing three finger style on a resonator banjo, which is always gonna sound.....well....banjo-esque If you want laid back, mellow and cool, I'd suggest this sort of thing

Yes, a much better tone - but then he does have the advantage of a beard which, as we all know, acts as a supplementary soundboard as one of its many useful functions, which also include food store, drinks filter and refuge for small animals).
