Pretty close Leo - I think your Am7 is a combination of one guitar playing C and the other twiddling down from C to A in the bass!
Crucial thing is to tune the bass E down to D to sound anything like the recording.
Then, pretty much as Leo said, ie
DAD DCA DCAD DAD

No capo - "proper" dropD - tune 6th down to D, then you'll be same pitch as CD. You could then capo all 6 to suit your voice if nec. A vid would have been lovely, yes. Keith
