Isn't Fliss still mod at AGF? haven't been there for years and not intending to go back. Who needs AGF, anyway... Don’t think so

I think we should ban the word 'Trump' - there really is no need to mention it - just because the BBC do is not really an argument. That's just me though.

Yep, was there for a little while, but got tired of not feeling like a proper acoustic guitar player because I didn't always prefer top-end Martins. Is that a typo shouldn't it read top end Martians, that would get me banned if I was on the AGF forum

They are mostly American, you have to make allowances and ignore

It is an odd place that I visit from time to time. I look at the Acoustic Amplification and Recording sections a fair deal - I never look at the general thread as it is dominated by complete tossers.
I love their Show and Tell forum. 1000 people covering the same Eagles songs.
Your better off here.

I used to be on there quite a lot, but the traffic is just too high and I can read rosewood vs mahogany threads only so many times!

I go on there to post my videos and just have a quick look at the 'Today on the AGF' section to see if any of the thread headings take my interest. There are some nice people on there who went on to become FB 'friends' - got a few CD sales too Phil

I like the “I’m thinking about trying a set of xxxxxxxx strings, any advice welcome” .
I have to stop myself posting “spend 5 bucks and try the xxxxing things!”.

The Custom subforum is friendlier. I had a thread removed once from the General section where they were quite abusive - strange place.

To be fair, most specialist fora are like that. I see similar threads both on cycling and mandolin fora that I frequent. This place seems to be any exception

I'm a member on the AGF (different login name to the AS board). I generally just visit a couple of times a week just to see if anything is being discussed that takes my fancy. I don't post much....and now certainly don't post about any issues about my guitar cos I generally get snarky comments/flamed cos it isn't 'high end' enough.

Perhaps we should en mass start a low end guitar thread so Regal eg " Iv'e just bought a Regal mahogany 12 string Regal (Eric Clapton Special) 179$ and its brilliant it blows away a lot of high end 12'ers especially the Yamahas"
