Hi John, I have the CR4s.
When I was looking into getting some inexpensive monitors I think I remember reading a review that suggested they were worth the additional cost over the CR3s. I got them from Gear4Music in York, who have a really excellent returns policy so it's quite practical to try them out at home and return them if they don't suit.
The CR4s have Bluetooth, which was very useful to me as I didn't have space for them in the room I used for recording - when I wanted to listen to a take, I didn't need to mess about plugging things in. They're very compact and I'm happy with the sound, considering the cost. I can well imagine that, like hifi, it's possible to spend more and more on monitors in pursuit of improvements in sound quality.

Sorry , I see you mentioned Bluetooth - they seem to have good reviews and they are not too expensive - I may give them a try
