I picked "Anthea" up yesterday from her excursion in Wales and put some new strings on her ready for her journey 'oop North tomorrow to gavdav via leoroberts. I thought I'd do a quick recording before she goes so here;s my "Bees in the Chimney" tune played with "Anthea" in F Bb F Bb Eb F tuning which puts the tune in the key of Bb
leoroberts very kindly dropped Anthea off on Saturday morning. No recordings as yet, but first thoughts are that this is a stunning little guitar. I don't count myself as much of a fingerstyle player, but the guitar really has encouraged me to arrange some things using more than just a chunk of plastic - it plays brilliantly and has a really open articulate voice. It's also a supremely comfortable guitar. Watch this space for some recordings. I've played quite a few of Dave's guitars - all have been great and all have had bags of personality, but this is my favourite so far!

Well James (jubbo) returned Anthea today from the last leg of her "Road Trip" - 11 months, just over 2,000 miles and 13 participants. A big thank you to everyone who took part and thanks for the fantastic and uplifting music created

walkingdecay: Astronauts have velcro on their flyholes, which not only prevents entrapment in zips, but in the ISS prevents static jolts to the genitals. I suppose that whether you approve of the latter effect or not depends on how old you are.

walkingdecay: I see there's actually been a spike in Michael Jackson's record sales this week. Time for Harris to re-release Two Little Boys, clearly.

walkingdecay: Beatles: Made On Merseyside doc on iPlayer at the moment is rather good, if you ignore the strange Pete Best eulogy. (He had trouble playing anything other than fours, the "atom beat" was a London thing, not Best's creation, and so on).
