Thanks for your encouragement guys. I'm looking forward to it. Be good to see you tonight leoroberts . I'll report back tomorrow after my celebratory drink (10% chance) or after drowning my sorrows (90% chance). "Tomorrow / sorrow" - might squeeze that into my next song. cheers Iain

Well I've drowned my sorrows and sobered up. Really good night. Good banter with the audience who were very attentive and respectful apart from one person who kept asking each finalist "What strings do you use?" Was that you leoroberts?

It most certainly was not...it was, however, a member of one of the bands that played. Go figure. Perhaps they thought it was 'banter'? There were some great songs. I rather think the public vote went the way of 'X Factor' and the like, in going for the youngest participant - not about the song, all about the performer. Still, that's why they have a panel to decide the main prize Hey ho!

I like the fact that they have a public vote, though I think having to use your mobile phone to vote did confuse a few of my supporters.

Whose the dodgy looking bloke in the 2nd photo who has his arms folded I hope security kept an eye on him? Security threw him out when he demanded a recount. Seriously, good to have support on the night.
