You're probably well ahead of me but I've only just discovered this series of podcasts produced by Nashville-based singer songwriter Otis Gibbs. There's no music here, just stories and Nashville folks chatting to each other – but what stories. Here's a flavour: Guy Clark's favourite T Shirt Managing Townes Van Zandt Paul McCartney and Wings in Nashville Dave Van Ronk Stories When Ray Wylie Hubbard met Joe Walsh Reggie young's memories of recording Elvis Tim O Brien talking about his memories I could go on but you get the point. The sound quality on these is excellent and each episode a little gem! There's over 160 to listen to! otisgibbs.com/category/podcast/

I’m a big fan too. Marc Maron’s WTF podcast is good when he interviews guitarists like Derek Trucks and Keith Richards. I also like Walking the Floor with Chris Shifflet.

Otis Gibbs has just released a YouTube series. If you like his podcast this is worth 8 minutes of your life. Episode one is chasing Robert Johnson’s Ghost.
