I wonder; can anyone recommend or suggest any UK based folk-rock-psychedelic bands which STILL EXIST today, please??

That's a tough one! Most of them are dead, or resembling it.
I did wonder if Vashti Bunyan might just qualify?

Oysterband, Levellers, Men They Couldn't Hang, Hunter Muskett. Richard Thompson is also still together, kind of, and of course Fairport still creaks out.

Oysterband, Levellers, Men They Couldn't Hang.... Were you spying on my cassette collection circa 1985?

Well, my mate Davey Dodds used to be in Red Jasper and is now making a bit of a name for himself on the folk circuit with a duo with Bristol based Martin Solomon. Again not sure if his current music classes as psychedelic- he certainly writes very unusual lyrics, and there is quite a hypnotic, slightly manic, quality to some of his songs.
Here is the sort of thing you can expect when he has a few of his friends join the band for a gig

Funny time that, one of folk's many supposed "revivals" going on - where in reality it just never really goes away - and Folk Roots mag (when it was still called Folk Roots) desperately trying to identify some sort of movement and label it as "Rogue Folk." In the end all that mattered was that good music was being made and the beer tent at Cambridge wasn't sponsored by Newcie Brown any more.

Interestingly, a wonderful and very friendly small-scale local festival up the road from me has Edward II appearing in mid-July: details here
