The big stores (Andertons and GuitarGuitar) are really pushing Gibson’s. Both offering 0% interest free credit for up to 36 months!
I’m not usually one for credit, but this is a pretty good deal. Especially with more than one store offering it a deal could be had. I have always wanted a J-45.

I have always wanted a Gibson but never found one that I liked, a bit soulless and lacking in many areas. I am sure there a few out there but very hard to find.

My only guitar for 20 years (71-91) was a J-50 which I bought new. It was not a great guitar by I found that out only when I finally moved on. Very heavy, poor build quality and lacking in the top end. Only because it got extremely well played did it eventually sound reasonably good.
I have played quite a few Boseman built Gibson guitars and haven’t been moved by any of them. Better guitars around from other manufacturers at similar prices.

In normal circumstances best avoided.I have only owned one J45 and it was an excellent guitar bought from a dealer in Farnham-the buying experience was poor- I tried about 9 in all and all bar two were uninspiring. The member of staff came out with the usual rubbish about "investments" which irritated me but the guitar won the day and I held onto it for two years before moving it on.It wasn't a comfortable instrument to play but it did sound good.....exception to the general rule probably.
