Hello Leo and the others....
I've got a 0000 from Simon, Sijos,
I like it a lot, and all the reviews you hear seem pretty accurate
So it has a kind relaxed presence...that sounds sweet but not in your face , but nothing not like Brook.
You may know that Glenns Guitars has a New Yorker for about 2400.
The guitar I swapped with Simon has already moved on...
Does that help?
All regards Peter H

Well hello again
All that life stuff can be difficult, for all kind's of reasons. I think that is why some of us can't be pro's
AND I forgot to mention that it was Jonny Moss who sorted all that out. I didn't know for example, that there can be hints in the arrangements to make them easier to play
I still do the (NOW) less torture like exercises...
kind regards Peter

Hello all,
The thing for me was to be organized, and sort the difficulty everyone has.with both hands....
Then the bass runs then just appear as if by magic
Thanks and regards

Sorry to hear that.. BUT in case you didn't know, that they are famously worth cleaning: so you can wake up round core strings by
by using bartowel's or similar, do it under and on top ...
It works with DR sunbeams too, as I did it a few days ago.!
Which means you shouold get longer....
Regards to all.. Peter H

I do think they sound distinctly nice on that tune...
I've tried them on all my guitars and they seemed to work better on Gavins old Falstaff, rather than my old Orsino.
But hearing that tune, I gonna try them again, and maybe try nickels or Brass too
Kind regards to all.

Hello Jonny,
you certainly helped me alot with our couple of years, on skype and in person. . I did think I could hide my problems on camera!
I still do the left hand and right hand stuff, and look to use anchors and count everything.
I will message you with some queries...
All regards

Hello All, lots of good ideas...
Here's another, contempory one: the Hereford and Reading based folkie, Mark T, on the Circle of Sound label,
"From Blues to Rembetika" with a few guests , and some of his own stuff. Lots of slide, and few were recorded at
the London Troubadour.
See yer
Peter

Hello all
I know how subjective and also costs and stuff, but I the if you like the yolk style, like a Page which I think sorts these problems.
So along with a Page Click I just got a shubb F1 from Eagle music. and it's easier to put on than the Page, and fits fine on the headstock if you want. may be an idea for some and the price was roughly 50 quid... kind regards

Hello Derek,
I think you still need an "impedancy transformer" as mics and guitar amp inputs don't always automaticaly do it. Mine are jist 6 inch cables with a male jack and female XLR I bought mine for avbout 20 quid from studio spares. but they seem to have run out of them.
But thereis a soundlab one on Ebay for 18, and Gear for music have one for 21ish..
I think some pre amps will do it too, but don't hve personal evidance.
If you don't fancy that I could "lend" you one of mine to just check that it will work....
Kind regards
Peter.

Hello all,
Is it possible you just need an "impedance transformer" if you are plugging in an XLR cable ?
Don't really understand the technical stuff but it increases the volume significantly, with my old Trace 40 R amp.
Some one else will hopefully know why and how they work... I'm sure!
Kind regards
Peter
