Well I put new strings on (well tried) with my dicky right hand, after a quick phone call to my guitar playing buddy new strings are on.
I have kept to the same Elixir 11-52 for there longevity I thought the old strings sounded pretty good well to my ears, massive difference they are well I better start breaking them in.

Hi I have had the same strings on my guitar since I got my guitar off Francis some 11 months ago,the strings I got put on were elixir's,the thing is they still sound pretty good to me should I get them changed or keep on until they are sounding crap. Whats the average age to keep elixir strings on guitar ?

Hi everyone On the 28th of Sept while at work I had a stroke, lucky for me (well not so lucky) they managed to get me into hospital to give me some drugs to burst the clot on my brain. Well after spending 9 days in hospital after lots of physiotherapy and tests they discharged me. I sort of got off quite lightly with the stroke compared to some I seen in hospital,my walking,my balance my coordination are out of sync with my brain. Unfortunately for me I can't drive a large vehicle (bus/coach driver) for 12 months so that's me out of work for the foreseeable.
On a positive side I get to play my guitar only problem with that is I have with my left and right hands seem a bit confused where they need to be on the guitar. But I have plenty of time, I am going to have to start from fresh again until I get my hands working again and remember where they need to be. I know it's early days but I am determined to not let it beat me.
ta ta for now.

Birdo you won't go far wrong with a guitar from Francis . I got a parlour built/made off him, unbelievable sound and volumefrom a guitar so small .

Thanks Francis Spent the last two hours playing the new parlor guitar, sore wrists (you know the story about my wrists) and sore finger ends .
Wonderfull sound from something so little (not me) the parlor has a nice little pair of lungs. Had an hour on it in DADGAD Tuning it sounds amazing . Now the debate keep in dadgad tuning or standard tuning ?
And thanks guys for the comments .
