Bought this album this morning in anticipation of his live gigs. All I can say is wow. And wow again.

I was v impressed the one time I saw him live, though don't have any of his recordings - maybe that should change!?

Would love to see him, his December shows are a bit remote from me though... Where did you buy Carrier from, was it a CD?

I bought Courier as a digital download from Qobuz but it is available elsewhere.
I was looking for a kind of greatest hits album — there is one but it didn't have one of my favourite songs on it but Courier did. Although it is a live album the sound quality (and his singing) is so strong you don't realise it (apart from a few claps).
The more I get into his music the more mesmerising I find it.

Thanks for the heads up on this Andy.. "Reunion Hill" [bought after seeing him opening for SOH a few years ago] is another fine album although the vid below of him playing the title track works even better [for me] than the recording on the album...

Think I can make the London gig, in which case I will buy Courier from the man himself

I know that there are quite a few ppl here who don't like spotify. However, Richard Shindell has 13 CD's there, ready to listen to right away. I hadn't heard of him before. Great stuff. Thanks for the post, Andy!

I Went to the gig at Cecil Sharp House last night, fantastic. He's playing electric guitar through a Cornell amp and a mandolin. If you get the chance to see him over the next week do go! An eclectic mix of songs covering injustices, generosity, freedom and the imagined thoughts of a cow left out in a stormy field overnight. Unique style. I bought Careless via his honesty box system which is a nice reflection of the gig.

I am hoping to see him at Bury Met tonight (thank you Riverman ) He has written so many great songs it’s difficult to have favourites, but I do find this song and the performance extra special
