You just need to ensure that you get pins with the correct taper. If not they’ll either not go in all the way or won’t fit snugly.

Ah so my guitar would need these pins... Fender Acoustic Guitar Bridge Pins = Size 1.3T Tho I've no idea what this means: Size 1.3T = .203/3 degree/Slotted thru skirt →

I think the diameter of the widest part of the pin, ignoring the “head”, is 0.203 inches and the angle of the taper 3 degrees. The pin has a slot for the ball of the string.

And here's me thinking all pins were the same... Loads of them on Wish.com for as little as £1 a set.

I don't believe there's any acoustical difference to be had from changing the pins, its its purely an aesthetic choice right? I do find there's an acoustic difference between pins. It's not huge but it's a difference. I changed from bone to brass bridge pins on a rather dead-sounding guitar and I noticed a subtle difference, slightly brighter, which I preferred. I know others who swear that there is a really big difference but it’s all relative: one guitarist’s ‘massive difference’ is another guitarist’s ‘whatever’.

The thing is this is just a cheap (but good sounding) laminate guitar. I don't want to throw loads of money at it...

The biggest improvement you can make would be to have the bridge slotted and use unslotted pins, my preference is for bone, but rosewood or if you are on a budget ivoroid are also good, avoid plastic. If you can't get unslotted pins then use slotted pins with the slot facing away from the string. Oh and yes pins do make a difference.

I'm not looking to improve the tone, its purely an aesthetic choice. Oh well...

There's some I've found, but the sizes are noted differently to those above:
Total length is 29.88mm, Slotted size is 2.40 mm

I didn't know anything about tapers and sizes when I ordered mine. Maybe I just had very good luck. You could always order some, compare them size-wise to your existing ones without fitting them and return if they look wildly disproportionate. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
