Oh that's so unfair ok so the US mag has gone lightweight but it's never hit the lows of th e uk version that inadvertently spawned this forum. The credit for this forum surely resides in its members and the US mag still has credibility that the uk mimic never had

I've had a years subscription to Acoustic Guitar this past year and struggled to find stuff in there of interest... History of Western Swing and another history of Hawaiian music we're good but far too many "how to use a capo" type articles for my clearly erudite tastes.

I'll always flick through AG in Smiths, but haven't bought a copy for years. To be fair, that's also true of most magazines though!
There's sometimes an interesting article on a specific performer, but the thing that really annoys me about this mag in particular is how often you can read the bulk of an article normally, but then find it is continued on part of a page right at the back of the mag - along with final paragraphs from several other articles. Not v clever.

For me there's too many songs to play. I'm not interested in playing songs in different tunings and what not, plus I don't read TAB so a huge chunk of the magazine is skipped.

I rely on Fretboard Journal. It doesn't arrive too often, which make for greater anticipation. And it looks good on the table, without too much paper waste.

Hello all,
I would like to recommend "THE LIVING TRADITION" magazine, published in Kilmarnock, particularly if you like folk a bit,
always has has loads of reviews of cd 's festival listings etc., and archives too.
I guess some may already know of it...
Kind regards
Peter H
