I’ve decided I don’t like them and learnt how to tie them properly. There are plenty of YouTube videos.

What didn’t you like about them? I’ve got a set of rotosounds to try next time I change and also a set of Bridge Beads (albeit not at Amazon’s price ) to try

They sounded flat compared to tie strings.

Quick and easy to fit but the high E snapped at the bead before the day was out. As it wasn’t too hard to tie the remains of the string in the traditional way I think I’ll go back to tying the strings.

I've been using the Rosette bridge beads for quite a while now and really like them. There are 2 versions available as far as I know and I now always use the later ones that are sort of triangular shaped. I also had trouble with the top E snapping off, but only with the earlier version, the later version works much better for me. They are also much easier to fit than the earlier ones plus they look a lot neater on the guitar. This is the version I always use now. DiamondSecure Tieblock System

That system seems to be just an aftermarket way of making a six hole bridge into an eighteen hole bridge. All of my 'classical' guitars used an eighteen hole bridge with a bone plate added to reinforce the rear of the bridge. Colin

Onechordtrick, I can't get a clear picture with my phone so will try to get a clearer closeup with my camera later on. In the meantime, all I do is just loop the high E string again through the loop only and not through the tieblock, which is what I did the first time. The fitting instructions at the bottom of the the page DiamondSecure Tieblock System weren't that clear to me on that last part.

colins, I like the look and practicality of your 18 hole system.

colins thanks! Are those ball ends on the nylon strings? Can’t quite see from the picture. jangarrack. That’s what I did as well. Perhaps I was unlucky? Strings do break from time to time. I’ve got a spare arriving tomorrow so I may give it another try

Onechordtrick, no just normal nylon strings (Aquilla alabastro) I just slightly heat the ends to form a small ball. Colin

This time I didn’t double tie but put a stopper knot in. So far it hasn’t snapped and is holding tune, or at least as well as new nylon strings ever do.
