I've looked at a Larrivee P-03MT second hand @£899.
Looks nice & clean and I'm tempted.
I'm interested in any views of anyone who's owned this or similar Larrivee models.
I was also tempted by a new smaller Lowden/Sheeran (but the cheaper model don't look solid wood)
Thank you for reading and/or commenting. Steve

I had one of the very early parlours when they just did one type - P-01 I think it was called. Very plain, no binding, no bling. Great sound fingerpicked and lightly strummed. Louder than you might imagine. Playability excellent. Probably too long ago to be relevant to current models though. pricing certainly seems to have changed a fair bit since I bought mine. kept it for a few years then it sadly had to go!

Hi Steve, I had a P-03 Silver Oak... it was really nice, I bought it as an ex demo for £950 from my local PMT and sold it for about the same on flea bay a few years later. Probably should have kept it but it held its value well and was very well built... I've let two little twelve fretters go and miss them both

I had a P-03 with Zebrano back and sides, for which I paid £900 (very lightly used). For that sort of money I think they’re very good guitars, all solid woods and American made.
When I sold it I tried to recoup my outlay, but despite having it on the market for several months (including in the Classified section here), I had to drop to under £700 before it sold. I think if I’d been more patient I could have got back what I paid, or close enough.

Didn’t buy it though did you?! It went to another forum member, who’s not been seen here for a while, for a real bargain price. C’est la vie!

I have always felt that the Larrivee was the nest of the N American factory guitars, certainly much better than the similarly priced output from the other three main builders.

colins I agree with that - they are certainly very consistent and often great value for money.
