As I can’t buy myself any more guitars I’m doing it by proxy. I’m looking for a guitar for my son as a sixteenth birthday present. Budget around £200.
He’s been borrowing my Faith but would like his own. He’s fairly musical (grade 8 piano and 6 on cello) so I’m prepared to spend a reasonable amount.
He’d also prefer a medium sized body so no dreads. The Vintage V300 is well reviewed and looks the right size but I can’t confirm this.
Anyone got any experience of the V300 or other suggestions?

V300 highly recommended by me, though there are other contenders, some even cheaper, in the Vintage range esp some of the Paul Brett newer models.

Are you sure the cc60 is solid wood?
I have found fender to be sneaky with their acoustic specs.
They will say "solid spruce/mahogany top" but just "mahogany back and sides" on a lot of their guitars. Why call out "solid" on just the top?
However, if you look up the range to the £600 and above guitars (Redondo classic). They do call out "solid mahogany back and sides"
At the price range you are looking at I would consider Sigma or Crafter. Both do great guitars for £220ish.
Also. Would a Baby Taylor be something you would consider? They sell for £359, but I have a brand new, never played. They come with a great gig bag as well. Taylor have been running a promotion in April. Where if you purchase a 300 series or above you get a free Baby Taylor. I haven't actually received it yet. They were out of stock, but it's due to arrive next week. If you want it. It's yours. I was going to just sell it as I have no use for it and don't know anyone who would need it. However, I just can't be bothered with the faff if it can go to someone that would value it. If it's of interest, shoot me a message and we can figure out how to get it to you (or even if it's possible).
Likewise... Totally understand if it's not the right guitar or if for such an important gift you would rather select something yourself the usual way.

jubbo thanks that’s a really kind offer but it’s not quite what we’re looking for. Thanks for the heads up about the wood, I’ll double check but all solid isn’t a deal breaker more my inner “guitar snob” coming to the fore

I’d get a recording king. Their ‘dirty 30s’ are great value for money. m.thomann.de/gb/recording_king_0-00-000_bodysize.htmlTheir ROS 9 is just under £200 while the all-solid ROS 11 looks great and is £333. Buy from Thomann or dv247 for no quibbles return if you don’t like it Thomann’s own brand, Harley Benton, do a mahogany OM size guitar that sounds great in the YouTube videos by the way. Alternatively i’ve Played some good OM and parlour sized Cort guitars, although the ones I liked were closer to £400

Thanks all. In the end we got a good deal on the Fender which he liked the look of much. He wanted a cutaway, apparently it’s cool 😎
