And it was great. I forgot how much I enjoy playing a few songs for a few folks. Great reactions, lovely venue (a pub garden in one of the prettiest villages I've seen). All done proper like, with socially distanced audience and musicians. But bloody cold. And that was their last gig of a very short late summer series. Probably my last one till next spring/ summer.

Fingers are so sore today - my right hand fingers from all the finger-picking, which I haven't done much of all summer (been playing gypsy jazz with a big thick pick). A reminder to do more finger-picking!

Congrats. Something like normal. Did our first gig since March last Sunday (pub indoors - much smaller audience obviously, but well socially distanced and enforced. Felt very safe.) Then an acoustic session in another pub on Monday - in an enormous gazebo with light and heat but rain lashing down outside - bit grim but wonderful to see, hear and play with other musicians again. And we actually got to jam! How good did that feel. Voice shot after 2 hours singing on Sunday but worth it.
Can't see much more on the horizon though........

I can relate to the sore fingers! I played a full day in a studio a couple of weeks ago after having not played much at all. It was super fun, but yeah, the fingers!
