Otis Gibb's Souvenirs of a Mispent Youth is one of my favourite albums of the last few years — wonderful and slightly unusual story telling ina very musical frame.
He might have just beaten Souvenirs with his new album Hoosier National. Souvenirs was the product of a move to Nashville and was recorded with some stunning, vintage, session musicians. Hoosier National is the product of a move back to his native Indianna. It is a little more electric and a little more raw.
If you don't know Otis I won't say too much more — I don't want to spoil the discovery.

Thanks for posting andyhowell , I'd never come across Otis Gibbs before. Just had a listen to Hoosier National on stream and I think I'll buy a copy.

He has a great YouTube channel with stories and music:
And an even beter podcast channel called 'Thanks for Giving a Damn' — simply wonderful musical stories and anecdotes.
