I guess the lock downs aren’t helping live music but some of my favourite artists have released some great music recently. Currently I’m enjoying:
William Tyler - New Vanitas Nick Jonah Davies - When the Sun came Gillian Welch - All the good times are past and gone Steve Earle - Ghosts of West Virginia
Still waiting for albums by Otis Gibbs, Gwenifer Raymond and Gunn - Truscinski to arrive. Not forgetting Gillian Welch the Lost Songs box set.

+ 1 for Gillan Welch
Steve Earl is also an interesting listen
I can't get enough of Mandolin Orange and Billy Strings at the moment.
Listen to the Tom Waits cover of Fish and Bird by Noam Pikelny, wonderful.

I've not heard much new music of late, though thanks for the reminder about the Gillian Welch. I've been on a huge jazz binge under lockdown. Hank Jones, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Mary Lou Williams, Teddy Wilson, Ran Blake, Thelonious monk. I have periodically been listening to the huge magnum opus by Miles Okazaki: the complete works of Thelonious Monk for solo guitar. He's a very inventive guitarist and fans of Marc Ribot (Tom Waits) will enjoy him I think. It's best enjoyed in small doses - the individual volumes are also available on Miles O's bandcamp page. But here's a link to the huge single-volume epic itself: okazakiwork.bandcamp.com/album/work-complete-volumes-1-6
