A great version of one of my favourite Pentangle songs. I think I first heard John playing it one late evening session at Les Cousins, 50 years ago, sheesh I'm getting old.

Very enjoyable. I love the Kate Rusby version, which always brings a lump to my throat.

I just sent him €3 for the Tab, I shall have a crack at it! Where did you find the tab? I had a look at his site and could see how to buy a tab. Do you just use send him some money and tell him which tab you want? Couldn't see a pick list or anything.

I am also equally fond of Sandy Denny singing RTs words to the same tune on the Liege and Lief LP - Farewell Farewell. And Mary Black also did Farewell Farewell v. nicely on one of the earlier Transatlantic sessions. Keith

Very nice!
Sometimes these simple, ancient folk melodies just get inside your head and won't go away. Unlike a modern earworm, it's somehow much more soothing than annoying. It's happened to me numerous times now. 'Poor Murdered Woman', 'She Moves Through The Fair', 'Scarborough Fair', 'Greensleeves', 'Sally free & Easy' (OK, that one not so ancient!), and 'Idumea', have all done it for me!

Jacqui at her best, we were so lucky then. Sandy Denny, Jacqui McShee, and Maddy Prior all setting the bar so high. Danny Thompson also one of the most under rated musicians of his generation.
