Hi everyone,
I hope you're all well.
A little bit of shameless self promotion is never beyond me and I have a lovely new little video that my assistant Daisy helped me to create - and we are particularly proud of it!
My husband Karl and I spent a large part of last year expanding and reworking the layout of the Turnstone Guitars workshop, expanding out into the smaller rooms around my existing single workshop room. It was quite the ordeal - installing a fully functional spray booth into a second floor room (never again), moving and re-plumbing a whole kitchen and toilet (perhaps again) and creating 5 seperate working spaces for all our guitar making needs (inevitably again). It was at times a barrel of laughs and at others a desperate cry for help. However we both seem to have come out of the other side alive and are here to tell the tale.
I hope you enjoy this video that gives a little insight into our world and where we build our guitars.
Keeping fingers crossed we will see you again soon! If any 'soundboarders' are down my way and things start to open up - please do drop in to say hello! We have missed visitors this last year!
Chat soon,
Rosie

Great video, Rosie - the revamp of pretty much everything must have had more than a few nightmare moments, but all looks to have turned out spiffingly. All the v best to you and Karl. Keith

Lovely video Rosie, thank you. I remember meeting you at a show in Berlin a few years ago and being very impressed.

Excellent video. You know what amazes me the most? I find it absolutely impressing that from such a sober room packed with all these tools and machines and whatnots come (at least in my opinion) the most beautiful guitars I have ever played. It only shows that the tools are just...tools. It's the hands and the mind of the artist that really matter.

Fascinating. Such clean and dust free rooms! Iain I am a neat freak that’s for sure. You kind of have to be that way in this game. There are things all over the workshop that are just desperate to ding up a guitar!

Wow! It's really developed, Rosie. Yeah it’s quite different now to when you last came over with Gilly. You must come again at some point!
