A 00 12 fret in mahogany and Sitka, although having sold a couple of guitars lately, I am considering commissioning a similar sized 13 fret model in walnut and European spruce with a slightly deeper body.
For anyone interested, I have taken the plunge and ordered my 13 fret European spruce and European walnut guitar from a young Irish luthier whose work I admire. i will let you all know how it turns out.

walkingdecay: Always confused me, that. I can think of fewer more awkward spaces to occupy than a geodesic dome.

walkingdecay: There, you've got me worrying about people who live in geodesic domes now, and more specifically what must happen when they try to lean a guitar against the wall.

robmc: The raison d'etre of geodesic domes is to stop people leaning guitars against walls you could ask Buckminster Fuller if he were still with us but he has sadly passed on to the great dome in the sky.

davewhite: If you had an Ovation - or a lute - you'd probably be OK

walkingdecay: Or a really big kettle drum, which might even obviate the building itself.(Dome in the sky - I like it.)

otis1960: I haven’t had an Ovation since I was 19; they were a lovely audience that night

walkingdecay: Trapped in a room with Strictly Come Dancing on for the first time in years. Fortunately a former bandmate was also confined, so we had a good time ripping in to its bloody awful band.

walkingdecay: OK, I'm very angry with what's happening and slipping into one of my mardy moods at present. I'd better stay away from the internet for a while, as it tends to make me worse. Back in a few months, most likely. Enjoy your wood!

martinrowe: I find trying to avoid the news helps. It's quite hard to do but even a little bit of success at avoidance helps. Take care Pete.

curmudgeon: I'm pretty angry about what is happening in the UK too - not satisfying to see my predictions coming true. As a lady on Question Time said last night - "The tide is turning!" Gov representatives/reprobates get a hard time on QT! Will "Gov" ban it?

curmudgeon: Wife's to do list : sweep leaves, empty dishwasher. I've added Solve global warming, save economy, cure covid -anything else I should add for Saturday?
Oct 23, 2021 0:09:38 GMT
scorpiodog: Well done on giving your wife a to do list. Mine would never do anything I asked. That’s one reason why I don’t have one any more.

curmudgeon: I don't give her lists - I just added a few things. Monday - Wash kitchen floor, hoover lounge, cure cancer, feed cat (again)

curmudgeon: I like changing strings, flat tops, arch tops, mandolin, 12 strings, resos, - all fine. Yesterday I tried to restring my 5 string banjo. three stabbings, and a broken G string! (don't!)
Oct 25, 2021 10:34:44 GMT
ocarolan: I also enjoy changing strings - I find it an alnost meditative experience but not particularly so on mandolins and 12-strings when it can get tedious.
