TL;DR - not too expensive and does the job well. Recommended.
I've had straps slip off the end-pin several times over the years - luckily with no serious consequences - but I'm still a bit nervous when playing standing up. I've tried a few solutions, like the Schaller StrapLok, but none of them have worked for me. I had this recommended by some friends in the RMMGA forum, and thought I'd give it a go. It's a very simple idea: a slim piece of leather (I think) that you feed through the hole in the end of your strap, and which then fold over the end-pin, fastening it in place with the nylon retainer. It's simple, quick and easy to put on and take off, and fits all the standard end-pin jacks I've tried it with.

These are good Julian and they do fit standard jacks as you say. The hole in the leather is fairly large with the nylon retainer gap fairly large to cope with the size of the jack. But there's also a Strapkeeper 2 which has a smaller hole in the leather with a corresponding smaller gap in the retainer.
On my guitars the larger one fits the end jack pin but the smaller one fits the strap pins at the heel if you wanted one for that purpose.

They're good, albeit a bit pricy. I use them all the time.
