I've been a big fan since forever. His star hasn't faded. Here he is with three other great musicians in a room in his house doing a sublime version of one of his greatest songs. The guitarist - oh he's sooo good! - is Val McCallum, son of actors David McCallum (Illya Kuryakin and Ashley-Pitt in The Great Escape) and Jill Ireland.

And for good measure here he is with his band at Glastonbury in 2010. Mark Goldenberg plays probably the best live guitar solo I've ever seen. The guitar is a Thorn.

Thanks for posting this. Not forgetting the incomparable David Lindley. I was there, a great memory!

I had a look, obviously... but not this time. My buddy and I are clearly seen in Julien Temple's Glastonbury movie, standing in a muddy Jazz World stage, watching the excellent Tinariwen in an earlier year. Back view only, so not recognisable by anyone except us. David Lindley is in his late 70's, but I bet he's still active. His website shows tour dates in 2020, at least.

Thanks for posting this. Not forgetting the incomparable David Lindley. I was there, a great memory! I was there (-ish) too, though didn't see Jackson Browne sadly - can't remember what the competition was now, but probably on the Avalon Stage, Acoustic Stage Park Stage or one of the fields of terminal weirdness or whatever they call them!
