Thinking of popping up to the Green Note in Camden this evening to see the highly entertaining David Broad on the London date of his current mini-tour. Having a listen to one of his many enjoyable albums right now. davidbroad.bandcamp.com/album/the-wasted-years

I've seen David Broad many times over the last 10 years or so. First time was at the Green Note with Serious Sam Barrett serioussambarrett.bandcamp.com/album/serious-sam-barrettI really liked that 'scene' if it can be called one - several young Yorkshire folkies that all sprang up together about 15 years ago. My favourite of that bunch was Michael Rossiter. I thought his 'My Dearest Dear' album was phenomenal - it's one of my all-time favourite folk albums. michaelrossiter.bandcamp.com/album/my-dearest-dearSadly he's not done much since, he appears to now be part of a rockabilly trio called Hay Bales.
