Coo, that's a nice one. I've just got 2 of his standard straps and am very pleased with them, but that's really styly.

That is very cool. I wanted as basic as I could get, but I really like the look of that one Leo!

Some lovely looking straps there! Came across a leatherworker at a craft fair yesterday. www.tamarleather.co.uk/www.facebook.com/TamarLeatherShe makes all sorts of things, but has only made a couple of guitar straps so far. Anyway, long chat was had and when I get around to doing some measurements I'll order a plain strap from her to see how it turns out. More info when I actually have the strap, but here's a pic of the decoratively carved one she had on her stand - Strangely, it had adjustment at both ends, which I reckoned was not necessary, and must add to the time/cost a fair bit. It was £45, but she estimated that a plain one, adjustable one end, could be less than half that. I'll keep you posted! Keith

I'm going to contact the Bear place in the next few days and order one too once I get the chance to get some decent measurements . I'd really like either Green or Red but still undecided yet .

Tell Rupert you found out about him on the forum... It won't get you a discount, but it may encourage him to join in

Did you have to change your name to get the use out of it?

Thanks for the heads up on that Leo . I know what I want now a 1 piece supple leather with a sort of tapered end at the front attachment and slightly wider at the bottom end with a bit of shaping and a nice rich green colour , I may even ask him to emboss my initials on it too .

Keith you put her page on Facebook a couple of weeks ago didn't you ? That's where I got mine from , when I saw a picture of a green wallet thing with an embossed sun on it I loved the colour and contacted them . I can't believe I got it in about a week and its gorgeous . Slasher thanks for the good advice , I am nervous but dead excited at the same . At least I'll get an idea of the venues acoustics and Pa system before hand not many get that oppertunity except for a soundcheck before the gig .

Got my strap today from Bev at www.tamarleather.co.uk/ ... www.facebook.com/TamarLeatherGuitar straps are a pretty new venture for her, and she ended up buying some new tools specially to make cutting the adjusting slots easier. I gave her the dimensions and stuff that I wanted, selected a medium brown colour with darker shading, asked for a 9mm (larger than usual) hole at the output jack end and left her to it. She suggested indenting a line all around the edge, which I thought was a good idea! Bev will do any amount of engraving/embossing of designs (see her sites for an idea of the kind of thing) but I opted for completely plain, apart from the line she suggested. Very much like the strap! Looks great, and being not too thick, feels fairly supple already - not quite as plexible as the suede starps I normally use, but close, and it will soften with use too. I've rounded off the sharp corners where the slit leaves each strap pin hole, something I always do with a new strap as it makes them a little easier to slip over the pin and sit nicely there. The pics are a little revealing of my fettling around the holes, and, being taken in artificial light, make the strap look a bit lighter and yellower than in daylight, when the strap looks darker. Really like the subtle sunburst effect though. At £25 plus p&p I think I'll order another one.... Keith
