I thought I would do a quick positive review of Frailers Music Shop in Runcorn.
A month or so ago I bought a used Larrivee from Frank and it's brilliant. The staff let you sit down and play anything without hovering over you all the time. Frank gave me a superb deal and I left very happy and the guitar is superb -- probably the best I have owned and one of the least expensive!
I bought another used guitar just a few days ago, but this time I decided to buy it without seeing it, again he gave me a good deal and I went and picked it up. But when I got home I noticed a small flaw that was kind of bothering me (it was after all used) but others may not have been so worried. I asked Frank about a refund and he was brilliant in his insistance that if was not totally happy then he would refund me straight away - which he did.
It's really nice to know that you can get that friendly service these days and I can't recommend Frank and his shop: Frailers enough. He has a good range of guitars as well but for now I'm a Larrivee player.

That's one shop I have always wanted to visit - Their selection looks fantastic. Unfortunately I never seem to venture to that part of the UK. One day I will get there.
Thanks for the review!

Had a few guitars from Frank over the years - Martin OM 21, Gibson J45, Larrivee OM-50, Larrivee Parlour, Farida for Spain. Always reasonable with px prices as well I have found. You can just go in and pull guitars down and play with no pressure whatsoever - great shop.

Yes - my experience with Frailers has always been first class over 20 years of buying and part exchanging. Great range of new and second hand and always a friendly chat. Don't go if you're in a hurry! I've taken a few young players there too when they've been looking for a decent guitar and Frank has always given them very fair treatment. Worth the trip - if you can cope with the Runcorn Expressway!

Yep agree totally…… bought a new Martin J40 from Frank in 1993. Spent several pleasant sessions visiting his shop when I was working in the North around that time. Still play the Martin and the tone and colour have matured beautifully….. a good investment!
If you see this Frank Murphy, I send my best regards

Went once about 6 months ago and spent a couple of very enjoyable hours in there. A guy has posted a video on YouTube of Frailers, him and his mate do little tour of the shop, showing the guitars on display. I think the guy has his own deltabluestips website, which very good.
