Next job is to attach the fingerboards to the neck. I thought I might try nailing them on, but discovered that I only had three nails of the right size.
To find the correct position for the FB I carefully draw a line down the centre of the board and ensure that this is perfectly on the centre line of the guitar, prior to tapping in the brads.
As I had only three brads I had to revert to plan B and glue the boards on with fish glue, but one day....
Once the glue had dried the necks were given their final profiling and the heel caps glued on.
Frets next.

As I said at the beginning of the thread, the Claro guitar is for a customer, but the All English guitar featuring Dave's "The Tree" top was my 2015, just for fun guitar, one I can experiment with. Anyway I decided to donate this guitar to the forum, it will be coming to Halifax with me, but going home with someone else, a someone that will be decided at Halifax. Martin has decided to run a draw for the guitar, he will give details of the draw conditions in a separate thread. So those attending Halifax, make sure to bring some extra pennies (pennies, who am I kidding!)for your draw tickets.

Colin Ooh, excitement ... <breaks open piggy bank, then sighs sorrowfully> A really generous act, colins, and another reason why, if anyone is dithering about HBx (where x is a number between 1 and 10, but probably 6) they ought to stop dithering...

I should think you have just doubled the numbers attending. Only trouble is I don't know when and where "HB" is. I shall have to do some research.
Doesn't that bog-oak fretboard look glorious, though?

Lovely bow, Colin. The guitars don't look too shabby, either

Very nice little guitars. A 00 sized body and 13 frets — should be a great, bluesy, guitar.
Can't wait to try it (and to buy a raffle ticket .....)

Correct! Full details probably be along before too much longer! Keith I think there should be a discount if you buy three raffle strips! Please be advised that it is against charity law (can't remember the precise statute) to offer 'bulk buying discounts' on raffle tickets. So none of this £1 each or 5 for £4 malarkey. I'd hate to have to grass you all up and confiscate the prize...

I'd hate to have to grass you all up and confiscate the prize... Nobody has told my local folk club that ;-) Sorry, Keith. Positively last word on raffles :-)
