Lovely looking box, Francis.
I look forward to hearing how the falcate bracing sounds without the carbon fibre additions.

The cherry and the cedar are well matched, aren't they? Looks almost like the same timber all round. Must be encouraging to see it all coming together. Now where's that postman? I must agree with R the F. The woods are very well matched. I'm enjoying watching how this build develops Francis.

This is Devon - postie arries when postie arrives... Yes - I too like the WRC and Cherry combo, I'll be adding maple bindings with BWBW lines to match the rosette at some stage.

Front is now glued on. I've downloaded an Android ap called Spectrum Analyze from the Google play store and just tried tapping the front at the bridge position to see what I'd get. There's no back on the body, it was held about a foot in front of the phone and tapped with my index finger and the soundboard facing the phone. Red trace is the fixed peak from the 'tap' - green is live just frozen at the time I pressed save! Need to go away and see what the different peaks represent. As there's no back on the body its fairly meaningless really. Good fun though...

K&K arrived and fitted: (Blue pipe is aquarium air hose - tucked inside the jack socket and back through the exit hole, ready to pull the K&K into position after finishing etc...

By the way, did you ever investigate what your spectrum analysis told you? Being more than a little anal, I have worked out that the top three frequencies produced by my soundboard attached to the sides are 150.75Hz (D/D#), 118.43Hz (Bb) and 333.8Hz (E/F) in that order. I see your highest peak is 123.82Hz (which is B); does this mean anything? I imagine that what you really want is a board with equally good response right across the audible frequencies - or would that just be rather bland? (I suspect this is all a red herring so please ignore at will.)

One should seldom be flat; one should never be sharp; one should always strive to be natural. (Or something.)
