Full band gig coming up in April, quite a well respected venue that I've wanted to play for a long while now, so I'm going all out, quite a way away from many of you but would be great to see more faces there thecluny.com/listing/alex-kirtley/

Steve Tilston is playing at the Anteros Arts Foundation in Norwich on Saturday. Great venue, a medieval timber framed room, old banquet hall I think. Will be my first ST gig and know little about his music to date.

Just got tickets for this, the 2018 Lincoln Folk Festival. Finally I get to see one of my favourite singers of all time, as Jacqui McShee's Pentangle is headlining. www.lincolnfolkfestival.co.uk/

I'll be playing in the Lincoln Drill Hall cafe this Saturday from 12:30. I'm planning on arriving earlier though to see Andy Gostelow who has the slot before me! Lincoln Drill Hall

Our band is doing the support slot at Edinburgh Folk Club on Wednesday 14th February, which we're really looking to. Here's an idea of what we sound like: linkThere will be some fingerpicking and flatpicking from me - maybe slightly nervously done, because the main act on the night is Paul Downes, who as many on here will know is no mean guitarist! :-D

I am definitely going to try and make it in future, it is exactly what I am looking for
Struggling to find other musicians in Lincoln, who share the same passion for the type of folk music I enjoy learning to play.

It is a fantastic venue, you can sit and listen all afternoon if you want to with a cup of coffee. The sound system is really nice, too. What type of folk music do you enjoy? and oops it was Pete Gostelow playing before me, he was absolutely brilliant!

You are in good company at least ...Cara Dillon has cancelled her dates for Calstock in Cornwall too.. Raining in Plymouth at present and [in the distance ] I can see vehicles blasting down the A38 ! The back roads to the venues are probably not so good though...
