Mrs lavaman has done a splendid job on the cover and artwork of this cd, the music isn’t too bad either I suppose. I am only a little miffed that my old Zenta which can be heard on track 11 wasn’t mentioned in the credits.

Many thanks to leoroberts , Riverman , and geddarby for braving Storm Dennis and coming to my CD launch. Here are a few photos of the evening. Anyone wanting a copy of the CD please send me a PM. Iain

I'm part of the lineup for Folk on the Quay online today: www.facebook.com/events/574257430150871/It's a mixture of live streams and specially recorded videos - my video premieres at 7.30 but there's loads of great stuff on throughout the day including Katie Spencer, The Last Inklings, The Goat Roper Rodeo Band, and Benji Kirkpatrick.

I could only see a bit of it. I received an email and saw it at ten to eight. The bit I saw was good though. There was a folk club near me where the Lakewood Brothers used to play when they were young. Cara Dillon is on another level I think.

Last night I had my first gig in over a year at the West Kirby Arts Centre supporting bluesman Raphael Callaghan. It was a great night with a very appreciative audience including geddarby . I hadn't realised how much I missed it.

Good stuff Iain! Does the Orchid preamp belong to you or to the venue? They are excellent IMHO.

Good stuff Iain! Does the Orchid preamp belong to you or to the venue? They are excellent IMHO. Keith It's mine ocarolan . Having an independent volume control is very handy, for example, I turned it down for one strummed song last night and then back up for the fingerstyle songs. The mute is useful when changeing guitars and when re-tuning between songs. I also like that its mounted on the mic stand within easy reach. I certainly recommend them. We provided our own mics too for covid security. Iain

Not that they've had much, or indeed any, use for some time. :-( Keith
