I'm getting more comfortable playing straightforward acoustic fingerstyle folk arrangements. I love listening to boogie woogie piano and I mess around with boogie blues stuff on electric. Now's the time to put them together and try some fingerstyle boogie woogie, so I'm trying to learn Boogie Mysterioso by Mary Lou Williams arranged for solo fingerstyle guitar by Del Rey. I may be some time!

It's a very tempting piece of gear - even for one that plays electric so little these days. Mark Me neither But There's still something very satisfying about bashing out 3 overdriven chords every now and then!

Buzz, a bit of string squeak, etc is all great. It's what the guitar what it is, a organic instrument with imperfections. If it's not for you, then listen to house music! I've heard it called 'fretboard percussion'. Seems appropriate.

Nice! A&L is part of the Godin group and the Ami is exactly the same specs as my Simon & Patrick Parlour Trek but with a stain by the looks of things. Mine doesn't even have a plastic rosette, just a burnt in ring. But I got to really like it, it sounds nice, plays nicely and feels very comfortable. It's the one I automatically reach for. I hope you enjoy your Ami as much!

I got a uke for Christmas and I'm really enjoying '20 Celtic Fingerstyle Uke Tunes'. Lovely arrangements!

What a great looking uke. Does the "-L" on the label mean long scale?
Thanks! Yes it is long scale, tenor scale length but concert body. It's got quite a nice ringing tone for a uke.

Loving this! Been playing this so much since opening it my guitar feels quite strange. Learning tunes from From Lute to Uke and Irish Folk Tunes for Ukulele, great arrangements and lovely to play.

Are you sure relief is the problem? I hate buzz and I set up my guitars so there is no buzz, but I have the necks dead straight, almost no relief and pretty low but not dead low action and they don't buzz, even when played hard. I was wondering, is the nut cut correctly?
