I got nuffink guitar related at all! Fortunately I got a copy of Steve Tilston’s new album delivered yesterday (featuring a track played on the guitar davewhite made him) so I am contenting myself with that. And I got LFC at the top of the league. so I’m happy (though that might also be related to the Tia Maria I’ve been quaffing)

Just the one I bought myself - but that's enough.

Self-bought presents are often the best. I got Steve Tilston's CD that way. And a Fylde jigsaw. (ie a puzzle, not a power tool!)
My elder daughter did send me Martin Simpson's new CD too, so some good listening is assured.

And it's been a tough year so it was nice to have something really good happen.

I got a copy of the cd Great Novels by Dan Hartland from PistolPete . It wasn’t so much a Christmas present as the prize in last week’s Friday Forum Giveaway but in my head it’s a Christmas present and Pete is my friend. My dear, dear friend. In the real world I gave a guitar to my granddaughter this morning as a Christmas present. It’s better to give than to receive. (It’s not. It’s really not.)

Absolutely we are best friends forever, especially since I now have your name and address, and I won't have anyone tell me otherwise. Particularly not that policeman who took away my night vision goggles.

A good year for me re. guitary presents:
Books: "Flying Fingers, Fingerstyle Anthology" (fantastic range of pieces, recommended), "Martin Guitars, A History", "Villa-Lobos" (biography) and "The Spanish Guitar, 1750-1950" (lots of bracing pics of guitars owned and restored by José Romanillos).
Accessories: Capo, strings (Martin Authentic which I've never tried) and a string winder made by Frank Ford of Gryphon Stringed Instruments.
So, lucky me.

I got a Beatles Mug - I feel fine about it. I wonder if I'll subconsciously start humming 'I saw here standing there' or something from McCartney's Cherries album whenever I have a cup of tea - we shall see.
