'When I Was a Boy' - you get the feeling he's actually living what he's singing. You can't get better than that. He was there. There are moments where to me it sounded like he was about to burst into tears at the memory.

In an interview about his new book, "Beeswing", Richard Thompson said something about Sandy Denny that is really incisive and illustrative of what gets me about Frank Watkinson. He said she "inhabited" a song. I've posted the interview on andyhowell 's review thread, if you'd like to watch it.
