You have to have the appropriate instrument for every purpose ... Dreads for bluegrass and comno work, resomator for bottleneck, 000 for teaching and playing light stuff, old time etc. Archtops for jazzy How else could I justify my colloection

I've never really got this either. There are always so many contradictions to whatever self imposed rules people like to put on things, that they no longer make sense. It's the same in audio engineering, with mics and pres and compressors for certain styles of music etc. I call BS on all of it. I regularly play punk and power chords on my Lowden, and why not? I get that certain body sizes have different volumes and may be better for different sized rooms and venues, but styles of music? No way.
