Just saw this, I'm down in Nerang, Gold Coast about an hour south of Brisbane. You're welcome to call 'round for a cuppa. It's lovely down here, not far from the sea or the mountains. Brisbane, is ok, but its the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast that are worth visiting. WelshRuss is right, Maleny is lovely, and easy to get to. If you're driving about, let me know, I can give you a list of places to eat and visit. Nigel

Have a great time. I was due to fly business class to Darwin in September 2020 using my air miles but that got postponed so I’m hoping to go early next year instead, taking the train to Adelaide with a stop in Alice Springs. Meant to get there since I read A Town Like Alice when I was still at school.

Also the Barossa Valley for some great wine and Kangeroo Island when your in Adelaide. Also read Songlines by Bruce Chatwin if your crossing the OUtback.

leoroberts have a good trip and enjoy the family, scenery and reunions, but please don’t return with more bad habits than you already have.
