I don't really go gigging. When I've been up to the folk club in years past, I've taken whatever good guitar I've had at the time. It was always a fraught experience, making sure I held onto it tight, trying to avoid people kicking it accidentally as they passed, and even worse, trying to avoid dinging it myself on a chair or table while playing (the club's kinda cramped ). Now if I was to go and play, I'd take the wee Vintage V1300 up. It has one or two battle scars already, and I think it sounds just fine (if maybe a little quiet) for a folk club setting. If I was to play in a more formal, less crowded setting, I'd have no problem taking my Taran.
