Hey Steve, something that might be of interest to you is that Forsyths may be stocking Brook guitars in the near future. At last Brook now have an outlet somewhere between London and Aberdeen (quite literally),
Robbie
p.s the video is great, though Andy has considerably less hair these days!

Good video that and quite old as well - very enjoyable seeing it again Interesting to hear about Forsythe's Robbie. They are not very far from me - 20 minutes on a tram, so will visit when they are in. I assume that came from the 'horses mouth'? Regards Phil

At last Brook now have an outlet somewhere between London and Aberdeen (quite literally), Robbie p.s the video is great, though Andy has considerably less hair these days! That is interesting, after agreeing to a deal for my J45TV.,( i just don`t do any strumming anymore) . I am concluding this on Saturday, and moving some other things on. I am going to have a good look for something OM size or just a bit bigger. I have been checking out The Brook website, as they are top of my list. I am looking for something that is bigger than my 00-15 mahogany. This has a 1 3/4 inch nut width and the J45 has a1.725 inch nut width. The standard Brook seems to sit right in the middle of these two, and the 630m scale is appealing to me. I noticed that they actually do a Martin style OM, as 90% of what i play is Blue/ country Blues this may be a possibility. Although a mahogany/ spruce Taw OR Tamar are the ones that have really caught my eye. Sorry for rambling.

Yes, their OM is amazing- I tried one last year, and it sold in Oasis after a day of being in the shop. Bear in mind, the Tamar is a longer scale version of the Taw (650mm). You may be interested that Ivor Mairants is soon to receive a beautiful tobacco burst Torridge. This was my favourite guitar of the ones that were in the workshop this week (next to the one I was picking up of course!) Lovely chiming tone, no boxiness at all, and a delight to play. Robbie

Thanks for that Robbie, i will check out Mairants website. I thought the Tavy was made in 650mm or 630mm scale. I will check it out again. Hope you are more than pleased with your newbie. I`m sure you are. Steve.

what a cracking way to spend half an hour. Fascinating programme in which the Brook guys and Andy Manson come over as decent blokes with a wonderful outlook on life.
And how could you not love folks whose company van is a motorbike and sidecar? (I had the same Watsonian model attached to a BM flat twin in my youth, so seeing it again brought back many happy memories.)
Thanks so much for posting this.

Thanks Keith - can't claim credit for that one I saw it on another guitar forum recently. But it is now one ovine-umber of sheep-related puns that I shall try to ram in wherever possible.
