I think so Cams :-)
When I commissioned mine I almost went for the 12 arrangement. I just didn't feel as comfortable to me. But then I picked it up and started p;paying DADGAD finger style. If I had been playing ragtime I might have felt different. It's all very subjective and based on personal preferences. What I do know is that your guitar sounds superb! BTW, the bog oak guitar didn't move me either; an interesting experiment but I wanted it to have extra something or other!
I'm not sure 12 frets really work for me although the Santa Cruz Eric Skye? Now, there's a wonderful guitar!
The 13 fret Pavilion is being built for someone who loves reasonably near me. It would be good to star an internet Lucas owners network!

I had a 12 fret L-00 for a few years and never really enjoyed it, although its fingerboard was too wide for me, so that was a big part of it. The Lucas doesn't feel like a 12-fret at all.

I'd never heard of the Eric Skye model before Andy. I just looked it up and it's a sweet little guitar. Some odd marketing copy though! Excruciatingly accurate?!

Yep. £5K and (for once) worth every penny! Don't know about this jazz thing though!

Quick recording into LD condenser mic to demonstrate flatpicking. I was sitting at the RMMGA gathering on the Sunday when it jumped into my head that this would sound great on the Lucas Pavilion 12. And I was right!
Excuse the recording flubs and the tapping of my foot. I'll need to watch that in future recordings!

Yes, that is right. Playing finger style stuff it just seems a bit too tight for me. Perfect for ragtime though.

I'm working on the Kenny Smith version of Randall Collins for the bluegrass band and spent a good couple of hours on it yesterday afternoon in the kitchen. It sounds great on that guitar! I can't believe that nobody snapped it up before me!

Ooooh, not sure about the pointy fingerboard end extending over the soundhole - that would cause my elbow serious damage when firkling around fitting/adjusting an endpin socket. But a lovely pic of a beautiful creation nontheless. keith
