Fender would call that a Heavy Relic finish and charge double.

If that guitar was within my reach I would probably go up to 150 and then give it to the nice guys from Easterbrook for an emergency surgery.

You'd end up with a very playable instrument but one that would be very hard to sell if ever you'd want to. But as the case is worth not much less, I suspect it will go for more.

Exposed like that the top looks like it's made out of the same stuff as Airfix Spitfires.

I wonder if they kept all the broken pieces... I would be inclined to rebuild it like a 3D wooden jigsaw with superglue, rather than splice in new timber. It is never going to be perfect and you have a better chance of keeping the original finish that way.

The seller is quite a prominent poster on AGF, if anyone felt inclined to ask him anything about the guitar

Send for rodders and his hammer.... Keith Hmm, I think I would stuff the body with newspaper or that insulating foam stuff, and then use a wood effect pastry as a veneer on the top. Bit of egg wash - Good as new

Too high for me. I predict £300. What does anybody else reckon?

£379 seems quite cheap to me. Hope 7***0 knows how to mend it!

I guess if you consider that you could sell the case and the neck, you probably wouldn't lose too much money if fixing it up doesn't work out.
