Andy P: Andy, I think I'd assumed you meant to say "all round performance", but your alternative will do very nicely for me! Thanks so much

Just finished listening to your CD Richard. (I've been treating it like an advent calendar - only playing a song or two each day.) It's certainly got your signature sound - clever lyrics coupled with intricate guitar playing on a rock steady rhythm. I also like the additional instrumentation, particularly the mandolin, the Nashville tuned guitar, the piano and Grant's harmonica. Tasty. My favourite tracks are Shrink and Shortest Day but that's probably because I've heard them before. I'm sure the others will grow on me as I play them more often. It's a great album. You should feel very proud. Oh, nearly forgot, I think the cover design is fab.

Cheers Iain! Hmm, favourite tracks...I'll have to think about that one. I bloody hated some of them by the time they were finished!

Had a listen all through a couple of times on headphones...wow! Stunningly good, Richard - congrats on a superb achievement of which you should be seriously proud. Well written songs, interesting, intelligent and often amusing lyrics; excellent guitar sounds and playing; lovely clear, warm voice; enhanced by excellent arrangements with tasteful extra instruments; all recorded and mixed beautifully. Congrats to all concerned in making this superb CD! Keith
I really wanted to write something here that Keith hadn't already said but to be honest I think he's nailed it perfectly. I have listened to this CD quite a few times now and it really is a great listen and not a weak track amongst them. These songs are really top quality and I love the added instrumentation, very tasteful indeed.
Top notch CD Richard and along with the new website and video definitely will project you towards the toppermost of the poppermost in this genre.
Phil

Crikey, I know it's Christmas and all but 10 days to get to Northern Germany? I could have delivered it myself in less time... Glad you and Marieke liked it Bernd, thanks for the feedback. All the best for 2018!

Just thought, perhaps I should have used a proud, independent blue envelope rather than that EU-ish burgundy coloured one I had lying around. No doubt everyone, recognising my inherent superiority, would show my postal items a bit more respect then!

It probably did the driver might have taken the CD out of the envelope and heard it the whole day yesterday while delivering the parcels. I wouldn't put it past him

Happy New Year to all. Riverman: Your cd arrived here in Norway yesterday, and it is most enjoyable: Great songs, great singing and ditto guitar playing. With a quote fom ABBA (!): Thank you for the music!

I guess I could start off a whole string of posts with ABBA song title references, but perhaps I'd better not! Thanks dobro, glad you like it.
