I've realised that apart from a hurried click of the like button I've not commented. That beautiful looking guitar deserves comments - the looks just say high quality in a way that bling doesn't manage. The colours and grain are perfect. From what you say it sounds like it's in the same top league as your Taran for sound qualities and playability so that makes it a great buy. The soundport should greatly increase your own enjoyment of the sound. It being so comfortable is a great bonus. Hope you enjoy the guitar for many years. Looks much better value to me than a number plate!!! Mark

Thanks very much everyone for your lovely comments
It's one of the most beautifully made instruments I've ever played, and thanks to RosieTGC for making the process so painless, keeping me informed and even sorting out the courier issues for me. Top notch service from an extremely talented builder
You lucky, lucky, lucky and, I suppose, deserving, bastard. Just as well I didn't pop in on my way back from Dundee today - you'd have not opened the door
Of course I'd have opened the door - might even have let you look at it (not for too long, though )
The best move you've made since the Taran! Many, many congrats on getting hold of a gorgeous looking and sounding guitar. Keith PS Yer jammy sod!
It is a lovely sounding guitar and the best of Rosie’s I’ve played so far. Please don’t be tempted to sell it ;-)
Thanks for your input, Andy it really helped! I won't ever be selling it, ever ever ever (for at least a month)
It is a lovely sounding guitar and the best of Rosie’s I’ve played so far. Please don’t be tempted to sell it ;-) ... unless it's to me.... Keith
Ok, Keith you can have it. I only accept gold bullion in payment these days
Wow - that’s lovely. Congratulations, Martin . If it’s anything like as good as the guitars RosieTGC had in Halifax last year, it’s definitely a keeper. Enjoy! But let’s have no more of this nonsense about getting over GAS
Sorry Simon
Oh lucky man - what a work of art. Your only need now need to record your cover of the Proclaimers’ song: “And I would drive 22 miles, and I would drive 22 more, just to get this guitar from the DH Hell store.....”. Brian
Now you've gone and ruined the surprise, Brian
Looks a stunner Martin and you're a lucky boy. Don't go selling it before Halifax!
No worries, John
What a beautiful piece of work - congratulations Martin! Interested in the soundport - I’ve never played an instrument with one - how do you find that, Martin?
There IS a noticeable difference, but it's not huge. The guitar does sound a bit more open and louder because of it, but only slightly in my opinion. I was able to judge this after listening to a friend playing it last night and being able to compare the sound right in front of the soundhole. The best thing about it (as Rosie told me) is being able to gaze lovingly at the extraordinary architecture inside the guitar
Congratulations, that lady has style, you MUST record with this guitar, enjoy.
She does indeed. My other half commented that it is her favourite of my guitars principally because of the aesthetic and that it is obvious that it was made by a female because of the striking design and complementary wood choices I will definitely attempt to record with it as soon as 'red button-itis' wears off...
I suddenly need to pay you a visit sooner rather than later :-)
You know where I am, Andy. Would be great to catch up again. Gimmie a shout

It's every bit as good as the Taran, but crucially gives a different sort of sound, which is ideal really. Number plate, schlumber plate!!

I sent to remember this was almost perfect for James Taylor and Ralph Mctell type picking.

Wow - she's a beauty Martin! Many congratulations. I'm looking forward to playing it sometime; I've yet to have the pleasure of seeing one of Rosie's guitars IRL.
