I have recently decided to go quiet on the forum Hey! I went quiet long before it became fashionable!

Didn’t buy it though did you?! It went to another forum member, who’s not been seen here for a while, for a real bargain price. C’est la vie!

Oh, and that’s not a sound port on the shoulder of the Taylor - it’s the selector switch for the pickups.

I opened for John when he played Northwich Folk Club last year. He’s an incredible player, and a really nice guy. The Taylor is a T5 - I think it’s been discontinued now in favour of the slightly smaller T5z.

I had a P-03 with Zebrano back and sides, for which I paid £900 (very lightly used). For that sort of money I think they’re very good guitars, all solid woods and American made.
When I sold it I tried to recoup my outlay, but despite having it on the market for several months (including in the Classified section here), I had to drop to under £700 before it sold. I think if I’d been more patient I could have got back what I paid, or close enough.

I think the very best songs often have the quality of being able to be interpreted in different ways. You take from them whatever you want, no matter what the writer’s intention.
“He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge And she and Billy Joe was throwing something off the Tallahatchie Bridge”
Bobbie Gentry, Ode to Billy Joe
We never find out what it was they threw off the bridge, but there are lots of theories. It’s an utterly brilliant song.
