Alan Gogoll - Bell's Harmonic (Honeyleaf Version)
For some reason iPad playing up so can't make direct link to this, but have been listening to Alan's music for the last week and am really impressed with his very obvious talent and skill..i
I mentioned Alan in a thread last week but should have mentioned him in the reviews section..ooops
Ted Astrand was looking at the forum yesterday and noticed that I had mentioned him, which he said was a coincidence as he is making a guitar for him shortly, with Alan flying in from Tasmania to pick it up
Hope you like as much as I do,and if you have the time check out his instagram page and the camera shots from inside the soundhole as he plays
Had to add this as an edit to thread...have just listened to Alan playing Grizzly caterpillar....I don't even know where to begin...just wow

Ted has been in touch...the fretboard has been glued in place, the neck angle set and checked and everything is ready to start carving come Monday...although neck not finished Ted thought he would send over some photos of the body and neck together. Along with carving the neck on Monday,Ted will finish of prepping the body and neck for hitting the spray booth Ted's reaction...."can't wait to get the first layers of lacquer on and see the colours of the Brazilian"

Some more pics from Ted..This week Ted will be doing the binding as previously mentioned and will be sending photos of the end result at the end of the week....meantime Ted sent some images of him finishing the end graft Cutting miters on the inlaid endgraft Fitting and gluing the cut out purfling. Ted states that a perfect miter should look like it's one piece thats inlaid and show no witness lines of glue or gaps. In order to get clean results for this process Ted use 3 different types of glue with different viscosity's and properties. Finished article And one in colour That's all for now

I've found an ironing board works well for the string changing and cleaning which is all I ever try to do. Adjustable height, padding it's all I need. I use a cheap folding neck rest for stability. This thing looks great but it's far more than I need. I think it's a great design, though. In our household, there is never room on our board for anything other than ironing.....and there's only two of us!!!!......I didn't think I owned the amount of clothes that turn up,but I obviously do.

Knees.been there done that...table yep that too...lol
For all you keen builders out there the blueprint is right there in pictures...go forth and build one.....not much to it
Chipboard, acrylic or plastic, bit of felt, some mechanism for locking together and away you go.....
Never did get blue peter badge on improvisation of everyday household items though
