This is great! I use a journalling app called Day One to log all my string changes and guitar work doings. My strings aren't quite so well kept at home, but they are at the shop where I sell them. I have a similar box with loose Elixirs from 0.11 up to 0.56 and a few other loose ones - Ernie Ball Aluminiums I think. I have a drawer under my bed with dehumidifying crystals and my Stewmac stuff and I carry my pincers and string winder in my guitar bag. I could use one of those electric screwdriver things; looks really useful. To be honest, I still put off string changes longer than I should because any string change time is time I could be practising. Hence the Elixirs.

I don't have any5hing I can put an "app" on - I am retired and don't need one of those pesky "smart phones" because a) they ain't smart, and no-one apart from my bank or ee ever sent me a text, and I LOVE SPREAD SHEETS!

I took out my Collings 12 fret dread that I used to use only for bluegrass bands. It hasn't had a string change for over three months. It sounded wonderful at rehearsals and even better at the gig last night. perhaps the £111 worth of strings I just bought were a premature purchase. Oh well, they aren't likely to get any cheaper!
