...who wrote some amazing songs that I came to love through the singing of June Tabor without knowing much about Bill Caddick until prompted by his obituary in today’s paper.

I remember the early Albion Band, and also Home Service, but didn't know he wrote John O'Dreams, though I did know of Unicorns from my JT LP. I think he did some bvs on a Richard Thompson LP at some time if memory serves. (Which it might not!) Thanks for posting brianr2 - an interesting and varied career, and he will be much missed. Keith

I posted my cover of John O' Dreams in The Plucky Duck a few years back... love that song. Can't be bothered trying to find it - cos it doesn't stack up well against the original posted here. Sad that he's passed but, unlike many, he's left a legacy of great lyrics.
